Everyone wants to be able to protect themselves, their home and their family against criminals. ProtectingYourself has been set up to give the reader detailed, comprehensive and reliable advice on ways to make their lives safer, while staying within the law themselves.
It can be worrying to read a newspaper and see the crime that is out there. But in many ways, this fear of crime is as debilitating to society as the crime itself. Therefore, equipping people with the knowledge they need to be able to safely defend themselves, property and family is a useful way to cut down on the fear of crime. This is what ProtectingYourself aims to do.
On our webpages there is a whole host of advice about how to make your home more secure, including the advantages and disadvantages of various protection methods. There is also advice about self-defence, the various types which are available to learn and where the best place is to find such a class.
Of course, unfortunately, there will be times when you are caught up with crime either as a victim or a witness. While it is hoped that the tips elsewhere on this site will make this a rarity, we also offer advice here on what to do in the eventuality that you become either a witness to or the victim of crime.
We really want to help spread the word and if you can help by linking to ProtectingYourself then we really appreciate your help.
